As followers of Jesus Christ it has become very important to uphold who He is in terms of His standards and not be swept away by a current prevailing satanical deception which echoes that once you are saved you can live any way you want to on the premise that once you are saved by His grace,you will always be saved.
Jesus Christ says that at the time of His return apostasy will be very prevalent in the world, people will be so steeped in their sins that their appetite for wanton pleasure will simply overwhelm them leading them to accept teachings contrary to the truth,they will greedily accept any teachings that allows them to condone their sins,they will come to believe a lie,a deceptive lie that will lead them to the depths of hell,a lie which says that all they have to do is simply believe in Jesus Christ and everything will be OK regardless of how sinful they are living.
Jesus in the book of Revelations declares that just before He comes back people hearts in general will be hardened to the point where their lives of compromise will not allow them to listen to the truth,they will hear but NOT LISTEN.
He says in Revelations in chapter 22: 11," He that is unjust let him continue to be unjust,he that is filthy let him continue to be filthy and he that is righteous let him continue to be righteous and he that is holy let him continue to be holy". My friends these are not my words,these are the LIVING WORDS OF THE MASTER, JESUS CHRIST.
The Bible clearly states in the book of James 2:19, " Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well :the DEVIL ALSO BELIEVE AND TREMBLE ."
Jesus Christ assures "ETERNAL SECURITY" only to those who endure until the end,to those who OBEY and OVERCOME.
There are many who are being deceived by the wiles of the evil one,many who are being told by apostate teachers that their salvation is secure once they believe in Jesus Christ,
in the book of Jeremiah we find apostate teachers telling people lies, in chapter 23:17 we find these apostates saying"....ye shall have peace and they say unto everyone that walks after their own imaginations,no evil shall come unto you." These apostates attempt to point out Isaiah 53 saying that once He died on the cross all sins past,present and future sins were taken care of,my friends that deception is one of the most blatant lies of the evil one, in Romans 3:25 God says "Whom God has sent has set forth to be a propriation through faith in His Blood to declare His Righteousness for the remission of "Sins that are past" through the forbearance of God."
My friends present and future sins can only be taken care of by confession and repentance, He says in 1John1:9-2:2.."If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins."
In these times of apostasy Jesus Christ expects us to raise His Standards ,He expects us to focus our lives on Him,He says in the book of Matt:7:22.."..Many will say to me in that day Lord,Lord have we not prophesied in your name ?,and in thy Name cast out devils? and in thy Name done many wonderful works? 23 : .../and then I will say unto them ..I NEVER KNEW YOU,DEPART FROM ME YE WORKERS OF INIQUITY."
My friends the time is now to hear and listen to what His Spirit is saying,He is raising up a people who "UNDERSTANDS THE TIMES "like the sons of Issachar in 1Chron12:who understood the times,in verse 32 it says " ..and the children of Issachar which were men that had understanding of the times........."
The times we are in is a very dangerous time of rampant apostasy, we are being called upon to not only have an understanding of the wiles of satan but to become instruments of God's Holy Spirit to break down the walls of apostasy leading His people astray.
In closing let us pray:
Lord, we lift our hearts and minds to You today thanking You Oh Lord for Your precious Blood shed at calvary for our sins, we thank You eternally for Your redeeming us,anoint our lives Oh
Lord that at all times we may remain humble in your sight ever mindful that You are a Holy God and that sins will always seperate us from You,help us Oh Lord to respectfully live our lives in honor of what You have done for us,help us to Keep a repentant heart less we blaspheme against Your Holy Spirit and destroy our own souls..help us Oh Lord to be like the sons of Issachar who understood the times, You have said in Your Word in the book of James 5:20 .." Let him know that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death ....." help us to realize that the above scripture was being directed to believers.." help us Lord through Your Holy Spirit to be bold witnesses of Your message of salvation especially in these perilous times..we praise and thank You Lord Jesus Amen"
